Maisha … Mhubiri anasema kila kitu ni BATILI … BATILI … BATILI
Kona nyingine … vijana wanakonga nyoyo. Kila watu na zama zao. Vijana wa zamani. Vijana wa sasa. Wazee wa sasa. Wazee wa miaka ijayo. FROZEN in time.
Aaah! DJ akifanya vitu vyake. Na amevalia rangi ya USHINDI. …
Jamii isipowapa vijana mahali pa kujiburudisha kwa michezo … basi nature itawapa. Hapo vijana wakisakata kabumbu kwenye eneo ambalo mto umekusanya mchanga.
Identity … Masai people
Keeping one’s identity, let alone a whole community’s is not easy, especially with all sorts of pressure from all over. However, the Masai people, found mostly in Northern Tanzania and parts of Kenya have managed to keep their identity in spite of the pressure of modernity. You’ll still find them in their traditional attires along with the asortments that go with them. Their life styles have almost endured intrusions from the outside world and other communities. As such, they have become unique and can easily be recognisable.
There are many lessons we can draw from the Masai people. There may be so much pressure around us to lose our identity, yet we can contain it and pick only the things we want. The Masai have done it. You will find them in politics (with some ascending to very high offices – like the former Prime Minister of Tanzania, Edward Moringe Sokoike), they are in business – large and small; and they are not far behind in social affairs that also involve people from other communities. Technologically – they are in and make use of it just like everybody else.
What does this say. Our identities are important. It is through them that we can stand out and speak of what we are. East Africa is becoming one, however, each member state may as well keep its identity – the things that make it unique.

Daima mbele.

Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte resigns over austerity measures
Mark Rutte, the Dutch Prime Minister, handed his resignation to the country’s Queen after European Union demands for austerity measures to bring Holland into line with euro spending rules caused the collapse of his government.
Early elections, as early as June 27, will become a popular vote on EU imposed austerity measures after the fall of a Dutch government that over the last year strongly backed the eurozone’s fiscal union treaty and urged that Greece be stripped of sovereignty for falling behind with spending cuts.
Mark Rutte, the Prime Minister, resigned after his fragile liberal-conservative coalition government, which has a no parliamentary majority, fell apart at the weekend after the far-right Freedom Party walked out of talks to implement £12 billion (15bn euros) in cuts.
“The government now knows that it is no longer sufficiently assured of the necessary parliamentary support to do what is necessary for our national economy,” he admitted in his resignation letter to Queen Beatrix.
Diederik Samsom, the leader of the pro-European opposition Labour Party accused Mr Rutte of “dropping the ball at the worst possible moment” and demanded snap elections
“We have to deliver clarity to the country as soon as possible,” he said.
HAYA. KATIKA SUALA LA KUWAJIBIKA NA UWAZI. WAZIRI MKUU WA UHOLANZI AMEAMUA KUJIUZULU KATIKA HEKAHEKA ZA KUBANA MATUMIZI YA SERIKALI KUTOKANA NA MGOGORO WA KIFEDHA ULIOZIKUMBA NCHI ZA ULAYA. MARA NYINGINE ILI MTU ULINDE HESHIMA YAKO NA YA TAIFA LAKO, HUNA BUDI KUCHUKUA UAMUZI MGUMU. NAMPONGEZA WAZIRI MKUU MSTAAFU MARK RUTTE WA UHOLANZI KWA KUONYESHA NJIA. TUPO PAMOJA …
Bahari … jimwage
Jiachie … usijishikilie.
Aaaah Bongo!
Msiba … Mwanasoka afariki katikati ya mchezo
Serie A – Serie B star dies after cardiac arrest on pitch
Piermario Morosini has died after suffering a cardiac arrest during an Serie B game at Pescara on Saturday, prompting the Italian football federation to postpone this weekend’s professional games.
“We have done everything possible to save him but he never regained consciousness,” doctor Leonardo Paloscia said.
Another doctor at the Pescara hospital said the 25-year-old, a former Italy under-21 international who was at Udinese until January, was dead on arrival at hospital.
The news comes just weeks after Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba suffered a similar problem in an FA Cup match before making a remarkable recovery.
Serie A said in a statement that the federation had postponed all the weekend’s professional matches.
Morosini, born in Bergamo and a former player with the city’s Atalanta team, fell to the ground with no one around him in the 31st minute.
He got up looking confused and then collapsed again as medics and then an ambulance rushed on to the field.
The Serie B game was abandoned with Livorno leading 2-0 and Morosini, who was orphaned as a teenager and also lost a brother, was taken to a Pescara hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Defending Serie A champions Milan were due to host Genoa in Serie A that afternoon.
At first Milan said there would be a minute’s silence but then the public announcer told fans already in the stadium that the game would be postponed along with all other remaining Serie A matches this weekend.
There was applause but also some whistles.
The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI), which confirmed Morosini had suffered a cardiac arrest, announced in a statement that all other sporting events taking place this weekend would hold a minute’s silence.
The issue of players’ health has long been in focus across the game with extra medical and heart checks being brought in throughout many leagues.
Marc-Vivien Foe collapsed during Cameroon’s 1-0 victory against Colombia in a Confederations Cup match in June 2003 in Lyon, France and died shortly afterwards aged 26.
The shock over that high-profile death, one of at least 20 in the last 20 years in professional leagues, led to changes but some believe more needs to be done.
In the wake of Bolton’s Muamba suffering a cardiac arrest while playing at Tottenham Hotspur in an FA Cup quarter-final on March 17, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini – an Italian – said English medicals were not as good as in his homeland.
Muamba too fell to the ground with no one near him and doctors later said he had been “in effect dead” for 78 minutes while his heart did not beat on its own. He was revived and has gone on to make extraordinary progress in hospital.
He is now walking and recently tweeted a photograph of himself sitting up in bed and smiling.
The Italian medical system hailed by Mancini did not help Morosini, however. Tearful Livorno players travelled to the hospital to pray alongside his body.
Italy is used to sporting tragedy in recent years.
Last October, popular MotoGP rider Marco Simoncelli died after a crash at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Franco Ballerini, the coach of Italy’s cycling team, also died in a rallying accident in 2010.

Mnazi … Manufaa mengi
Wengi tumezoea kula madafu.
