Swali: Nini kifanyike ili kuongeza ubora wa uendeshaji biashara ya matunda nchini? Je, kiwango cha usindikaji matunda kinachofanyika hivi sasa kinatosheleza? Je, watoto wetu waendelee kunywa ‘juice’ zinazotokana na mchanganyiko wa ‘flavours’ za matunda mpaka lini? Je, unywaji wa kinywaji cha aina hiyo hauna madhara (long term) kwa watoto? Sera za kilimo zinasemaje kuhusu hili?
Mbona Maparachichi ni braun?/normally Green-Gray) ni quality ya picha, usanii wa mpigaji, quality ya maparachchi, hali ya mwanga picha ilipopigwa au menngineyo? na jua kali hilo ni kwa muda gani hio slow food Maparachichi yanaweza kuhufadhiwa? Unayapenda maparachchi?
Maoni yangu ni kua juices za fruits zinazokamuliwa kienyeji(na individual local vendors) yanaweza kuleta madhara mbalimbali kutokana na sababu mbalimbali zikiwemo: kutumia maji machafu katika kutengeneza juice, poor personal hygiene ya mtengenezaji wa juice, wrong storage hasa hasa temperatures and general hygiene. hii ni hasa kwa watoto na watoto wa shule. Short term problems ni kama magonjwa ya tumbo ikiwemo salmonella, dirrhoea, hepatitis A, etc na long term problems in toxicity(kama matunda yamekua trated na chemicals zikiwemo fertilizers and sprays yakiwa shambani), kama matunda ni product ya genetic manipulation especially imported seeds. Health problems in this case can be inherited and long term i.e can destroy genetic information of children and their generations for generations!
