Dear friends and colleagues
I am happy to announce a new rehab program for drugs and alcohol that we have opened in Dar es salaam, Tanzania.
Alcohol or drug dependency/addiction involves seeking to use alcohol or drugs in a compulsive condition, in spite of its potential negative physical, psychological, social and/or spiritual consequences.
In our program we believe that alcohol or drug dependency is a treatable disease that affects the body, mind, social relationships, and the spirit of the person.
Consequently, the approach we use in treating alcohol or drug addiction is holistic in that it addresses all facets of being human, namely, the body, The mind, the society, and the spirit. We believe that recovery is A ONE DAY AT A TIME Journey starting with abstinence and building recovery competency.
It is our program philosophy to treat all people with dignity, respect and not giving up on anyone.
Experience shows that coming out of alcohol or drug dependency is quite difficult, but not impossible. Support and understanding from others can help the victim out of this dependence. We have created a program that provides a supporting atmosphere to the person suffering from alcohol or drug dependency.
If anyone you know or are related to an alcohol or drug dependent, remember that person has a terrible disease that is so progressive that, if no intervention is made, it may lead to death.

Hey its great news for the people of dare s salaams. Well we all know that Alcohol and drug addiction are diseases that progress through predictable stages. A rehabilitation center should offer a variety of treatment programs that meet individual needs. Programs may include inpatient, residential, outpatient, and/or short-stay options.

Recently I was working in Musoma with a Community based rehab centre dealing with Disabilities including Mentaly affected patients.
