Civil Aviation Week 2010 … maonyesho

It’s Civil Aviation Week … this year’s theme reads: SAFE, SECURE AND SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FOR OUR PLANET. A display of different activities in the Aviation Industry is going on at the entrance to Terminal II of the Julius Nyerere International Airport. It’s a good idea to visit the exhibitions to learn more about what goes on in this industry. The ones who can learn and enjoy the most from the exhibitions are children. If you ask a child what he would like to become when he/she grows up … out of 10 children … at least 4 will tell you that they want to become a pilot. Flying planes and choppers instills a lot of imagination to the young minds … it’s for this reason that we need to take them there so that they learn a lot more about the industry. And, no one is going to deny the fact that planes also evoke a lot of fascination even among grown ups – no matter how many times you have been on them.
