Participants of the AGM working on an assignment ready for presentation.
From Sept 13th to 18th this year, the Mathematics Association of Tanzania (MAT), held their Annual General Meeting at Mazimbu Campus, Morogoro. This association is largely an initiative by Mathematics professionals from all levels: primary education, lower secondary education and upper secondary education, as well as university level education. The initiative strives to improve general performance of the subject in the country. This is the 45th AGM. It is a commendable initiative that more stakeholders need to step in and support. It is argued that Mathematics and Language form the basis of knowledge creation. It is on these two subjects that almost all knowledge is based. Among activities that take part during the AGM include participants taking part in refresher training, undertaking assignments for presentation and the like.
This blog will seek an audience with leaders of the Association in order to bring you more information on the activities of the Association.
