Rain…an increasingly rare commodity in Dar

leave a comment »

Rain seasons have been becoming shorter and shorter compared to five or ten years back in Dar. For the past three years, the rain seasons have been extremely short. In last years November-December short rains season, it rained just once or twice. The long rain season for 2009 (March-May) had very few days of rain. Climatic change? A challenge.

Tabata (Bima) Kanisani area as it rained today.
