Dar es Salaam – different faces

leave a comment »

Commercial capital of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, Haven of Peace, has many different faces. Following images portray some of these faces:

Posta area. Can you guess from which point was this photo taken? Kila mtu na hamsini zake.

On the outskirts. New areas keep cropping up. This is one such area – Kifuru Msingwa.

Part of Livingstone Street. Time: 9pm in mid-October 09. Some rain drops coming down. Life goes on. It’s cool and peaceful. This a perfect time to visit different streets of down town DSM as there is less traffic and less people.

Wonderboy? Cool breeze.

Expansion of City.

At Muhimbili National Hospital, OPD. Will our turn ever come? This could be what these two elderly people were thinking.

Time to relax on soft sand along the Beach. It is a challenge to keep the environment clean and unpoluted. All in all, it is peaceful.
